1. How do I register for one of your classes?
A deposit of 50% is required for registration and the balance is payable before the first class begins. Classes are filled in the order of payments received. You may register by sending in a check or money order to Class Act Studios, or by registering online with our secure PayPal account. We except Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express. A Class Act Studios representative would be happy to register you by telephone or we invite you to stop into our studio and meet our staff for a quick introduction and help in correct placement for your needs.
2. Would I be allowed to view a class before signing up?
Auditing classes are not permitted, however under certain circumstances and with the advance permission of a Class Act director, we may arrange for you or your child to sit in on a class.
3. What if I miss some classes?
In an emergency, if a class is missed, there will be one make-up class available to you in the next workshop.(One make-up class provided per workshop with the advance permission of a Class Act instructor).
4. What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made two weeks prior to the start of any workshop will be given a full refund. Cancellations made less than two weeks before workshops begin, will be given a 50% refund. No refund will be given the week before, or anytime after the start of our workshop. (This is necessary to keep our small class size).
5. How many students are in each workshop?
The average number of students vary, depending on the type of workshop you are enrolled in, however most classes have approximately 10-12 students.
6. Do you offer any discounts?
Yes, you may enjoy up to a $200.00 discount when you enroll in any of our Academy Workshops. Students who register in the Academy may experience two or more workshops simultaneously. We always offer our alumni special discounts which are usually sent by mail and we offer a "join with a friend" discount of 10% of the combined tuition. Both payments must be received together for guaranteed placement. All 4 hour classes or more constitute as an Academy.
7. What if my child or myself decide we would like to act professionally. Can you help?
Yes, Class Act has been known to help launch the careers of many actors. Our management company, Tannen's Talent, is located adjacent to Class Act studios and the bookers there are always eager to find a "new face". All tapes of the students are monitored frequently by the talent reps and many students have been signed to Tannen's and are now successfully active in pursuing their careers.
8. Have any of your students become big stars?
Many of our students have been seen nationally in TV commercials, feature films, soaps and have performed on Broadway. (check our Latest News Section on our home page for future updates on their successes).
9. What if I am not sure I want to act professionaly? How else do your classes help?
Many people take our acting classes just for fun and some register just to help them in the corporate field; such as public speaking and simply to gain confidence.
