Alyssa received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Hampshire where she majored in theater with an emphasis in performance technique and children’s theater education. Upon graduation she moved to Los Angeles where she spent the next several years working with some of the best L.A. has to offer such as casting director Terry Berland and the amazing staff at Second City Improv.
After settling in New York years ago, Alyssa continues to captivate her audiences in theatre & film. Her recent accomplishments include TV commercials for Lend America, Slipperoo’s and McDonalds. She was also seen in TV shows such as Grounded for Life, Boston Public and Ally McBeal.
Recent directing credits include High School Musical, Once on this Island and Alice in Wonderland. She brings her passion and enthusiasm in drama, coupled with her industry knowledge, to teach our students the craft of acting.
Alyssa is also available for private coaching to help prepare our students for successful auditioning experiences.
Vin has been performing since he was a child and uses his hands on knowledge of the industry to teach and direct others whose interest lies in the arts. He appeared recently in a hilarious skit on the Rachael Ray show. You may also recognize Vin's distinct voice on the radio as the N.J. Lotttery's spokesperson. Television credits include The Science Channel, WWE RAW and Pillsbury. Working with Julia Roberts in Mona Lisa's Smile was a highlight in his film career.
Vin enjoys using his skills training our beginner students to gain confidence and understand the “ins & outs” of show biz while continuing to help our intermediate and advanced students shine. Combining boundless energy with a dedication to the individual needs of his actors ,

BARRY KOLKER: Trained at the Herbert Berghof Studios and the West Barron Studios in NYC and earned his BFA in acting from CW POST. Barry also attended Stagedoor Manor and trained under the late,great Jack Romano. He was in Fiddler On The Roof alongside two time EMMY WINNER JON CRYOR in PIPPIN with ACADEMY AWARD winner MARISA TOMEI.
After a successful acting career he decided to share his knowledge and became one of Manhattan's most prestigious SAG franchised talent agents for the past 22 years. He is the owner of The Carson/Kolker Organization in N.Y.C. He was Misha Barton's first agent and also repped Eddie Kaye Thomas. Some of his other clients included EMMY winner Kristen Alderson as Starr Manning on One Life to Live and her brother Eddie Alderson who played Mathew on One Life, as well as booking Eddie in the feature films Reservation Road and The Changeling.
An an acting coach he was a strong force in the success of many students who have performed on Broadway which include Reeve Carney in Broadways Spiderman Turn Off The Dark, Annie, Billy Elliot and The Lion King. Barry was implemental in many students receiving acting awards which include Rory/Declan McTigue who share the role of Teddy Schroeder~ for the SAG award "best ensemble" in a drama series and the other" Youth in Film" award.
Currently Barry's recent bookings include Alex Fox in the feature film Revenge of the Green Dragons, Hadley Delany, as Lily in Louie's Older daughter on the hit FX series Louis. His client Michael Nigro played Friedrich in the Sound Of Music live starring Carrie Underwood. Barry is passionate about sharing his knowledge and enjoys coaching our students in all areas of film, television and the theater.
DAVID MCDERMOTT: The Director of commercials for teens & adults at Manhattan's Jordan, Gill & Dornbaum talent agency for over 20 years. Some of David's current clients are seen in the upcoming 'Nightmare of Elm Street', 'Veronica Mars', 'The Nanny Diaries', 'Are we there yet?, are we done yet?' and 'Syrianna" just to name a few.
His improv-based approach to acting helps you find yourself within the material while teaching you how to project it within the media for which you are auditioning. David not only teaches acting locally, but has been traveling all over the country with his unique approach and we are excited when he gets the chance to work with our students at Class Act.

Jan was the production manager at The Actors Studio in New York City and has also taught in their West Hollywood office during and after the tenure of Lee Strasberg. Jan has worked closely with many celebrities including Ellen Burstyn, Harvey Keitel, Drew Barrymore & Al Pacino. She was Angelina Jolie's first acting coach which began at the tender age of 12 years old. With over 30 years of teaching experience, she brings a knowledge of creativity as well as development. She can guide her students toward blending their artistic expression with the technical requirement of their particular genre of work.
Jan is responsible for teaching our teens & adults the craft of acting. She also heads our writing workshops which enable writers to get feedback from their peers while learning structure, developing characters and solving the writers obstacles. She shows writers of all styles to learn adaption and expand their horizons.
Jan's daughter, Julie Pacino is a producer and writer who recently cast Julia Stiles in Phoenix - We laughed lots while watching this funny, off-beat romantic comedy at the Cherry Lane Theater in N.Y.C.
Al Pacino (Julie's dad ) calls Phoenix "Beautiful with very clear direction". It is apparent that talent runs in this family.
Nick Stevenson graduated from the Atlantic Theatre Company's Conservative Acting School in 2002. He also co-founded The Outhouse Theatre Company with fellow Aussie and long-time pal Jeremy Waters.
Nick currently played the role of Peter Harper in Netflix's newest hit show, "Orange is the New Black" alongside Jason Biggs, Kate Mulgrew, Laura Prepon and Taylor Schilling. He made his red carpet debut this past summer for this award winning show,
Nick recently guest starred opposite Jim Caviezel in the CBS drama, Person of Interest, and enjoyed filming a cameo role in season two of Cinemax's Girls Guide to Depravity. His voice can be heard on campaigns for Miller Light as the soccer phenom as well as McDonalds's Louis Vuitton, UK voice of Gillette and British Airways. He also is the narrator for many childrens books.
Nick has worked and trained with Jerry Seinfeld, Kathleen Chalfant, Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy, to name a few. Nick can be seen performing at The Comic Strip and Carolines Comedy Club in N.Y.C. He says that stand-up helps him flex his brain and he enjoys that challenge; hence the reason he is heading our sitcom and comedic scene classes.
Susan Wright, a Boston University graduate, has been in the entertainment industry for the past 17 years. She is a SAG franchised talent agent who currently manages the Ann Wright Representative agency in N.Y.C. Susan has worked with notable stars including Dick Clark, Robert Redford, Jon Lovitz, Sara Jessica Parker, Michael DeLorenzo and Alan Rachins.
Susan is committed to helping each actor find his/her personal potential while they learn how to prepare for the audition environment. Susan has booked many children in T.V. commercials and feature films. She currently has two clients starring in Matilda on Broadway (one of whom is in the role of Matilda). Her mom, Ann Wright, has owned the agency for over 40 years and is still actively responsible for booking teen and adult talent in feature films and TV series both here and in Los Angeles.
Susan and Ann have a natural ability working with children, teens and adults and a strong desire to teach them "the tricks of the trade". Susan has scouted and signed several of our kids at Talent agent Showcase Night.
Victoria Kress, currently heads the youth/legit department of Abrams Artist agency & has been a SAG talent agent for over 20 years. She began her career as a casting assistant at Todd Thaler Casting before becoming an agent at J.Michael Bloom & Don Buchwald Associates. She studied at NYU earning her degree in Arts Administration.
Katie Chambers, a former talent agent in the youth & young adult division at both The Don Buchwald talent agency and Abrams Artists has been representing young and up-and-coming actors in motion pictures, television & film for many years. Some of Abrams clients include Braxton Beckham (Disney's ICarly & Blended) & Zachary Unger (Broadway's Chaplin, Merrily We Rolll Along).
Katie has served on The Next Generation committee of the NY television festival. She produced a critically acclaimed play at the NY fringe festival & interned for the Manhattan theater club and Hollywood producer Scott Rudin.
Katie graduated Phi Beta Cappa and Summa Cum Laude from Drew University with a double major in English and Theater Arts. Katie is not only talented & smart, she is a warm and nurturing individual who is passionate about what she does and loves sharing her insights with our students.
